Meet the Principal

"The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character–that is the goal of true education". --Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

It is with great pride and excitement as I write this letter of introduction as the newly appointed principal of Elizabeth Morris Elementary School. I have been dedicated to serving children and families in the education field for more than 20 years. I am excited to bring my skills and leadership experience to E. Morris while working in concert with families, faculty and staff, and E. Morris' community to ensure the success of students.

This year is going to be amazing. A year which encompasses first experiences, yet perfected through intentional strategic approaches to ensure each student excels. It is my goal to ensure all students are met with academic experiences that are rigorous and relevant while exposing students to opportunities that assist them with connecting to the real world. Educating our students is a collaborative effort. Each member of our school community plays an integral part to ensure the success of all students. Our task begins today! I am charged and ready to go!

Yours in education,

Dr. Syreeta R. Holland
